Increasing upper funnel revenue and traffic for an appliance brand

Increasing upper funnel revenue and traffic for an appliance brand

In late 2023, Jamdesk started working with a direct-to-consumer home appliance brand. The brand had an existing affiliate program for years but the channel was mostly leveraged for lower funnel acquisition — reliant on toolbars, deal sites, and lower quality networks.

Jamdesk was tasked with moving the distribution further up the funnel through new partnerships and unique content strategies all while driving growth.

Key Results

Let’s chat about the strategies that helped us accomplish these results, breaking them down into three unique phases.

1. Research 🧪

We started by identifying partners that were able to introduce potential customers to our amazing product through reviews, listicles, and other long-form content. This process included shortlisting existing partners in the program, finding other partners based on competitor insights, and even building out a list of indirect but interconnected content sites. For example, we knew our product helped improve sleep quality so we researched top publishers within the sleep vertical.

2. Recruit 🤝

Once we knew who we wanted to work with, the focus shifted to initiating the outreach. We knew our communications needed to be hyper-personalized given the breadth of partners we were reaching out to. In those conversations, we highlighted how we envisioned the partnership working, what the value might be to them and offered both products for review and competitive commission rates.

3. Optimize 🚀

Getting the partners into the program was only half the battle. Once we started to see the partners trickle in, we made sure they had all of the resources they needed, including brand guidelines, product one-sheeters, seasonal creative, a reliable point-of-contact should any questions arise. By meeting the partners where they were and reducing any friction they might encounter, we found that the time between onboarding and promotion was much shorter.
