Migrating affiliate tracking platforms

Migrating affiliate tracking platforms
"Migrating Pawstruck's affiliate program helped unlock the growth & potential we were hoping for. Jamdesk make it a truly seamless process." - Anna Kemp, Head of eCommerce

About Pawstruck

Founded out of a desire for transparency and quality, Pawstruck was born when Kyle Goguen, founder and CEO, couldn't find healthy, artificial-free treats for his puppy. This frustration led to the creation of a brand committed to offering premium, natural, and long-lasting chews and treats that pets truly deserve.

The Why?

Pawstruck’s affiliate program was historically a small piece of their overall acquisition strategy. The bulk of their partners were deal sites and micro-influencers, neither of which provided the desired scale and at the time, were managed across multiple platforms.

Based on this lack of scale and a general need to streamline reporting and resources, the migration aimed to consolidate programs and enable growth.

In addition to efficiency, Pawstruck and Jamdesk were keen to find a platform that offered access to premium, quality partners and an expansive suite of technical features. Knowing that there was significant growth potential, it was important to find a platform that allowed Pawstruck to grow without increasing costs along the way.

Based on these goals & requirements, the team decided to migrate the program(s) into Impact, one of the leading affiliate management platforms.

The Process

Jamdesk was tasked with migrating the existing programs into Impact over the course of 90 days. This allowed all partners the necessary time to join Impact, swap tracking links and troubleshoot any lingering issues. During this window, Jamdesk offered one-on-one support, addressing any and all questions that popped up.

To help incentivize partners, we also offered a short-term commission increase - a rate higher than what they were receiving in the soon to be closed platforms.

Results

Although the migration took time and quite a bit of backend work, we were pleased with the results including stronger performance and access to a whole new set of quality partners.

  • The number of productive partners increased by 171% with the migration
  • As a result of the increase in publishers, we saw a 3x increase in revenue
  • Although it’s difficult to quantify, the consolidation of communication and management helped saved all parties quite a bit of time
